Healthy Families Jacksonville is a free, voluntary family support program designed to help pregnant women and parents with newborns be the best parents they can be. Our Healthy Families advisers initiate help so parents can learn how to help their children grow and develop in the most important first months and years of their lives.

Family Support Workers visit families with pregnant and new moms in their own homes to provide knowledge and support in the areas of: pregnancy wellness (prenatal and postnatal); breastfeeding; immunizations; positive parent-child interaction skills; infant and child development; the importance of bonding and attachment; and developmental screenings. Families may stay in the program for up to five years after a child is born.

Community Connections serves children and their families each year through the Healthy Families Jacksonville program for families living in the following zip codes: 32202, 32204, 32205, 32208, 32209, 32210, 32218, 32244 and 32254.
